Deep Stack is a quarterly deep-dive into one layer of the AI stack — the infrastructure, the protocols, the architectures that everything else runs on top of.

The Brief covers what’s happening. Deep Stack covers what it’s built on. Each quarter picks one layer: inference infrastructure, training pipelines, safety systems, evaluation frameworks, the tooling that makes agents reliable at scale. The goal is a working technical understanding — not academic depth, not surface-level explanation, but the kind of knowledge that changes how you evaluate products, make architectural decisions, and read technical announcements.

Each Deep Stack edition includes: a technical walkthrough of the layer, the key players and their actual differentiation (not what the marketing says), the open problems that aren’t solved yet, and a practical section on what this means for teams building on top of the stack.

Q1 2026 edition: MCP and the tool integration layer. Q2 2026 edition: inference infrastructure and the economics of scale.

Status: Quarterly. Members only.
